DEATH * BY * METH

This is dedicated to Travis Holappa who was kidnapped, tortured and murdered on July 25, 2004 in Northern Minnesota. This was all due to meth. I am Travis' mother and I wish to make this devastation turn into a better thing by educating and exposing the truth about meth, the dangers, and the deadly consequences it brings about to individuals and communities.

I want to do what I can to educate people about what is going on around the world with the meth problem. I want people to know about it BEFORE they even get the idea to want to try it. It is a dangerous drug and will ruin your life as well as all those who love you. I am on a mission on behalf of my only son, Travis.

UN PROBE METH DRUG SCOURGE (Worldwide)

I don't know how I particularly feel about he UN being behind anything... but reading this brought tears to my eyes because I see that it could be looked at now through a worldwide viewer and more people will be helped in walking away from this drug. Another thing that may happen is that the makers of pseudoephedrine and ephedrine will be held to a higher accountability. I think chances are that they will not be selling to the columbian drug cartels or shipping it to India or Mexico fulfilling orders of 2 or 3 times what the country actually requires for their cold medications. This is just my opinion... What is yours? Kim

AN URGENT review of the dangerous dance drug crystal meth was ordered by the United Nations yesterday.

Methamphetamine, or ice, is more addictive than crack cocaine and has caused devastation in America.

Yesterday, the UN's International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) demanded governments introduce tough restrictions on the household chemicals used to make it.

The drug, also known as Nazi crank, was taken by Hitler because it allowed him to stay awake for days.

Clubbers take it for the same reason. It also boosts sex drive.

But it causes psychosis, heart and lung problems and can kill.

American singer Rufus Wain-wright, who was temporarily blinded by the drug, is among celebrities who have overcome an addiction.

INCB president Professor Hamid Ghodse said: "If I want to pick on one major drug problem pandemic today, it is methamphetamine.

"It has not yet affected that much of western European countries and the UK but, as we know, as drug misuse occurs in North America sooner or later it gets here."

In towns across the USA, the drug has created a generation of "meth orphans" - children whose addict parents are in hospital, jail or have killed themselves.

The extent of the problem in Britain is not fully known because the seizures and arrests it causes are often credited to amphetamine use.

In November, Home Secretary Charles Clarke ordered an early warning system to be put in place to see if crystal meth use was spreading.

I find it interesting Tom Seibel teaming up with Montana Attorney General Mike McGrath. McGrath's wife allegedly uses marijuana to help with the side effects of chemotherepy.
