DEATH * BY * METH

This is dedicated to Travis Holappa who was kidnapped, tortured and murdered on July 25, 2004 in Northern Minnesota. This was all due to meth. I am Travis' mother and I wish to make this devastation turn into a better thing by educating and exposing the truth about meth, the dangers, and the deadly consequences it brings about to individuals and communities.

I want to do what I can to educate people about what is going on around the world with the meth problem. I want people to know about it BEFORE they even get the idea to want to try it. It is a dangerous drug and will ruin your life as well as all those who love you. I am on a mission on behalf of my only son, Travis.

Jury hears from party witnesses in Covarrubias murder trial (Washington)

(Port Angeles) -- Testimony in the Port Angeles rape and murder trial of 25-year old Robert Covarrubias has concluded for the week.

Proceedings will continue Monday morning in Clallam County Superior Court.

Jurors heard yesterday from witnesses who attended a party at the Chinook Motel just 3 days before 15-year old Melissa Lee Carter was found dead. Her nude body was located in a wooded area near the Port Angeles waterfront trail the day after Christmas in 2004.

Melissa Carter was 17-year old Ashley Fruin's best friend. Carter lived with Fruin, along with Ashley's mother, brother and sister in west Port Angeles.

Ashley told the jury that she and Melissa had smoked marijuana in the days prior to the party. They quit hanging around a group using methamphetamine because the drug was causing them problems, including skipping school to use it.

Tim, I will leave the story up and then take it down after others have had a chance to read your comments.
I didn't need permission to show the story as it was public domain. I didn't mean to offend anyone.. but am not here to fight. Just to give people the idea of what is really out there in the world of meth.
I don't care to go on and on with why I believe meth is worse than people want to believe.
This is the time of the anniversary of our son's death and I have no fight left in me.
God bless you and Melissa's family and give you peace.
Kim

Melissa was my best friend.. I was a witness at that murder trial.. Melissa was 15 years old.. She was raised by a family that used.. She was a product of her invironment... When I search her name and see this I am saddened.. She was murdered.. Regardless of circumstance.. Not everyone she was around was a drug addict.. Like me.. I was just a poor kid who happened to be friends with all the addicts.. Just like messa.. Please take this down.. Meth did not kill my best friend
