Associated Press FARGO, N.D. -
The last of six defendants named in a drug trafficking conspiracy here has pleaded innocent.
Lacey Johnson, 18, of Fargo, entered her plea in U.S. District Court on Wednesday. She is charged with conspiracy to sell methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana as part of a trafficking ring dating back to January 2002, and possessing meth and marijuana with the intent to sell it.
All the defendants face up to life in prison if convicted. Michael Petzold, 23, of Norfolk, Neb. - the only one of the defendants facing a murder charge - could face the death penalty if Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez approves it.
Petzold is accused of killing Lee Avila, 28, of East Grand Forks, Minn., in what authorities say was a drug-related crime.
No trial date has been set for any of the defendants.
