Wirth gets probation, community service, fine in meth case (Oregon)
Sentence - The former state representative pleads guilty to possession of the drug
JANIE HAR
SALEM -- Former state Rep. Kelley Wirth pleaded guilty to methamphetamine possession in Marion County Circuit Court on Thursday, ending a months-long public drama that started with a bizarre car assault on her outside the Capitol.
Judge Joseph Guimond sentenced Wirth to 18 months probation and 80 hours of community service. She will undergo a routine drug use evaluation and pay a $407 penalty.
"She is very glad to have this matter resolved, to be able to move on with her life, to be able to put her focus back on her family and her children," said her attorney Gale Rieder, "and will be glad to hopefully achieve blessed anonymity in the future."
