The man is identified as Daniel Angelea. He hung several banners on the tower: “Extreme Makeover 2006 Life Edition,” “Meth Busters” and “H.U.M.A.N. Heart Foundation.” H.U.M.A.N is an acronym for Help Understand Meth Addiction Now.
His ex-wife says that he has two children and has been staying at Wayside Christian Mission for three weeks. She tells WHAS11 News that she helped Angelea make the banners.
Shortly before 2 p.m., he was assisted down by Louisville Fire & Rescue.
