DEATH * BY * METH

This is dedicated to Travis Holappa who was kidnapped, tortured and murdered on July 25, 2004 in Northern Minnesota. This was all due to meth. I am Travis' mother and I wish to make this devastation turn into a better thing by educating and exposing the truth about meth, the dangers, and the deadly consequences it brings about to individuals and communities.

I want to do what I can to educate people about what is going on around the world with the meth problem. I want people to know about it BEFORE they even get the idea to want to try it. It is a dangerous drug and will ruin your life as well as all those who love you. I am on a mission on behalf of my only son, Travis.

Charges Filed After Baby Ingests Meth, Police Said (Arkansas)

BENTONVILLE -- Prosecutors this week formally charged a Rogers couple with exposing their 9-month-old baby to methamphetamine and cocaine.

Police had arrested the pair last month on drug and child custody charges.

Carrie Stills, 27, of 1841 S. "E" St. in Rogers, and Timothy Scott, 32, of 225 N. "C" St. in Rogers, smoked methamphetamine and marijuana laced with cocaine in the presence of their baby, according to a probable-cause affidavit filed by the Benton County prosecutor's office.

Stills and Scott are charged with introduction of a controlled substance, a felony punishable by up to life in prison, and endangering the welfare of a minor, a felony punishable by six to 30 years in prison.

They are set to be arraigned May 1 before Benton County Circuit Judge Tom Keith.

Stills and Scott picked up the baby from his legal guardian Jan. 24 in Decatur for an overnight stay but did not bring the baby back, the affidavit says.

The guardian reported the couple to Decatur police, and Stills was arrested Feb. 16 on a charge of interfering with child custody. Scott was arrested Feb. 24 on drug charges.

The baby was returned to his guardian but was vomiting, had diarrhea and wouldn't eat. He was taken to a doctor who tested a hair follicle and found the baby had ingested meth and cocaine, the affidavit says.

Scott also faces felony charges of delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Stills and Scott remain in the Benton County jail on $15,000 and $40,000 bonds, respectively.

Life in prison? Come on, is that really necessary? That seems a little extreme to me!
