There is a new book coming out that relates to Meth. It was written by a young man named Scott Thomas Anderson.

The BOOK LAUNCH!!! February 24, 2012 - Meth Awareness Night & Shadow People book launch for Amador County, CA. Clark's Corner in Ione will host a public awareness night around methamphetamine abuse in the California Gold Country, as well as launch event for Scott's new book, Shadow People: How Meth-Driven Crime is Eating at the Heart of Rural America. This book is a work of journalism that resulted from Scott spending more than 18 months as an embedded reporter with rural county law enforcement agencies and traveling to small towns across the United States. Scott, along with Amador County Sheriff Martin Ryan, Calaveras County Sheriff's detective Josh Crabtree and former meth cook, Matthew Learned, will speak about the impacts of meth addiction and meth-inspired violence in the California foothills. Shadow People will be for sale at the event, and Operation Care and Friday Night Live will have information about victims' advocacy and youth prevention initiatives. Meet and greet and book-signing runs from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Speakers from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Clark's Corner is located at 12 Main Street, Ione, CA.

I am so sorry for your loss. You are doing a good thing educating people about the dangers of meth.
Illinois Drug Rehab specializes in programs to treat meth addiction as well as any other substance addiction someone may need. Please get help today.
I am sorry for you losing Travis too. I live in northern Minnesota and also watched my husband of 20 years- a so-called respectable registered nurse, husband and father- turn to drugs and submit his brain to coke, pot, synthetic pot, and I believe (with the help of smart counselors) Meth. He turned a 180 on the kids and I and he became unrecognizable to us. My poor kids are suffering the trauma of watching their father turn into a monster. It has ripped our family apart with divorce, loss of our home, food, any money… and I wait everyday for the knock on the door or a phone call he is dead. I actually pray that happens instead of him coming back to follow through on his crazy threats toward us for trying to get help.
That being said, I pray you keep Travis' memory and your memory of your life with your son alive by educating people in any way, shape or form-blogs, articles, conferences, church groups, jails, etc., Speak whenever you can and tell people their legacy with their kids will be forever ruined, there is nothing romantic about being a reformed addict! You suffer consequences for life from your earlier actions-if you live- Your mother may have to write a blog like she is here, about your death. She suffered unimaginable horror and everyday mourning is unending for her and the rest of Travis' family-and he is only one person. if this is you, stop running and get out! if you are family, get yourselves to safety before getting help for the addict, murder happens-and we never think this could happen to us…normal, rural, or small town, Americans
